I did not expect to be so busy with my university work. :/
I barely read the last 3 weeks.
I'm forcing myself to sit down and finish Reading Lolita in Tehran. Though, probably, the fact that I have to force myself is a sign that it's not that interesting.
I'm not a big fan of analyzing novels, so I get bored when she starts describing the books they're reading.
But I do like the part where she talks about her life and her students.
Anyways, I should be done with this book today, after which I'll be able to rate it, and then start with "The Time Traveller's Wife".

That's coz I've been re-reading the entire Princess Diaries series.
I LOVED those books in middle school and early high school, and I guess I still do.
But, I'm on the 9th book, in a series of 10, so I should be back to reading Reading Lolita in Tehran, and On The Road soon, though the latter isn't as interesting as I'd expected.
I won't be able to go as fast with books from now on as I did for the last month, coz university resumes tomorrow. Boohoo.
I am kinda excited to learn though.
Hope everyone's summer was excellent!

All the different examples are interesting, but it's basically just a series of situations which support the author's opinion. I got what he was trying to convey after reading the first couple of scenarios, but I didn't feel like I wanted to read more, so I just skimmed the second half.
I feel like I would've enjoyed just reading the Wikipedia summary more. It's more to-the-point, and obviously shorter.

Aaaaaaand, I liked it!
It helps that the protagonist is a child, and there's all this drama, where he keeps being tested in unfair ways.
And the little twist at the end...made me really happy, for some reason. Maybe because it made me feel relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with anything else like what he already dealt with.
But now, I'm reading "Speaker for the Dead", and that's going very slowly for some reason. Probably because there's no sign of Ender yet. It's interesting, but not as much as the first one, I think. Hope the pace builds up.

I couldn't see it, but I thought it might be because I am looking at my own blog.
Or do I need to use the widget code? I'm not even sure how that's done. :S
